Kids' Run
Overview
The 23rd annual Freihofer's Kids' Run will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 on Madison Ave. at 11:00 a.m. Please refer to schedule below.
No matter what your age, running is wonderful exercise and a lot fun. In order to introduce Capital Region youngsters to the joys and benefits of physical fitness, the Freihofer's Baking Company is once again proud to sponsor the Freihofer's Kids' Run. It's a great chance to meet other kids who share an interest in running. What a super way to have fun, and stay fit and healthy.
The Freihofer's Kids' Run is a series of free mini road races, ranging in distance from 50m to one mile. The Kids' Run is open to children between 3 and 13 years of age.
Entry
There are three ways to register for the 2009 Kids' Run. You may register online now, print and mail an entry form or register in person on Friday, June 4th from Noon to 8:00 p.m. or on Saturday, June 5th, at 10:00 a.m. at the South Concourse of the Empire State Plaza. Online registration for the Kids' Run will end Tuesday, June 1st at Noon.

All children must be registered and wearing their official race number in order to participate.
In order to ensure the safety of all participants, races will run in waves. All participants will be held in "Parent Pick-Up" areas until they are met by a parent or guardian.
So, come out and enjoy the excitement of the 23rd Annual Freihofer's Kids' Run on Saturday June 5th at 10:50 a.m. Just by participating, you'll be a winner!
Kids' Run Race Schedule

ALL DISTANCES EXCEPT MILE ARE RUN IN HEATS UNTIL ALL KIDS HAVE PARTICIPATED. All listed race times are approximate and will begin and/or end based on participation levels. Children will not be released from the finish area until met by a parent or guardian at exit chute."
All races will take place on Madison Ave.
Registration and race number pickup: Empire State Plaza, South Concourse, Friday, June 4th, Noon to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 5th, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Races held rain or shine. All distances except mile are run in heats of small numbers of children until all runners have participated.
Donate Your Used Sneakers
Don’t throw out those sneakers! Give your used sneakers new life by donating them to disadvantaged kids who need your help. Put previously loved sneakers (clean and in good condition) in the collection bins for Shoes for the World at the CapitalCare Health and Fitness Expo. Please tie sneakers together.
